Holland Festival 
may 30 - june 22
 

The Holland Festival will take place from the 30th of May up and until June 22, in most all of the larger theatres and concert halls in Amsterdam. The Stadsschouwburg acts as the festival centre, dominating cultural life and events in the Dutch capital throughout the month.

The festival is now in its 61th year, during which time the Holland Festival has achieved a position as a national and international authority, enabling it to attract larger foreign productions and to enter into joint ventures with other institutions. In this way the Holland Festival is able to present top achievements in the area of the performing arts - music, theatre, dance - in both classical and more experimental forms. The programming comprises productions and artists of name as well as more daring, unknown artistic expressions, so the shows included in the Holland Festival are as likely to be sensational and with a broad appeal as well as specialized and for connoisseurs.
